outlook 2000 message source macro

 

The MessageSource macro provides a means to display the entire message source of an internet email message. This is a feature that is missing in Outlook (although it exists in Outlook Express).

pre-installation instructions

• Install the CDO tools for Outlook 2000 from the CD.
• Start Outlook 2000 and begin the VisualBasic Editor from the Tools menu.
• In the VB editor, add a reference to the "Microsoft CDO 1.21 Library" using the References option from the Tools menu.

installation instructions

• Download the zipped files here.
• Unzip the file into a temporary directory.
• Start Outlook 2000 and begin the VisualBasic Editor from the Tools menu.
• In the VB editor, import the MyExtras.bas file using the Import File option from the File menu.
• Import the frmMsgSource.frm file like above.
• Save the project.

post-installation instructions (optional)

• You may wish to create an icon on the toolbar that will call the MessageSource macro. I found this to be the easiest way to run it.
